How often does training take place?
Typically most clients start with  bi-weekly or monthly depending on their dog’s needs and their schedule.

Do the lessons have to be the same day/time every time?
No! Many clients will move their lessons around to accommodate their own scheduling. If you do prefer set days/times, we will pre-book all of your lessons in advance. 

Do you allow questions/support between lessons by email?
Yes! 

Where is training held?
The lessons are held at your home. I travel to you! We can also meet in public, pet-friendly places for practice. 

How far do you travel for in-person?
Up to 20 miles from the HAMBURG FITNESS CENTER & CAMP (8540 Hamburg Rd Brighton, MI 48116)!

How long does it take to achieve results?
This completely depends on the dog, and the owner. The training involves teaching you to teach your dog, so the practice/work is up to you! It also depends on the severity of the behavior needs of the dog. Dogs that struggle with fear/aggression can take months, whereas a dog that needs to learn basics (sit, stay, etc) can take a week or two. There is no definitive answer to this as there are many variables that influence the training process. 

What type of training do you offer?
All training is reward-based. Treats, toys, praise, and positive physical touch are utilized during the training process. Every lesson covers the education behind using current dog training techniques. Please see Methods for more information! 

Can we practice at the store or somewhere in public?
Yes! Anytime you want to implement training outside of your home, we can always meet near your home at a local pet-friendly establishment! Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply, pet stores, public parks, etc., are all places appropriate for training practice! This is like a regular lesson, but in a different setting. 

Do you offer protection, hunting/scent, service/therapy, or agility training?
Not at this time.

What kind of dogs do you work with?
All dogs. Any breed, age, or size is welcome. 

Do you offer group classes?
Not at this time. 

Do you offer Board & Train, or Day Training?
Yes! I offer “Homeschool” which is a better alternative to Board & Train. This service is only offered to established clients at this time.
